Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara

This mascara is pretty amazing. It has a weird looking wand, but it really lengthens lashes big time. And it manages to keep lashes from clumping together. I particularly like the waterproof formula.

Flower Ring

Here's a flower ring with some bling. Each petal is a faceted rhinestone. This ring, which is one-inch in diameter, looks about the same color as a lemon Lifesaver. (If only it tasted as good!) It also comes in five other candy-like colors.

Sherri Beaded Earrings

These earrings are so bright and cheery. They're a little more than three inches long, so they can add a huge pop of color to your outfit. They'd look nice and beachy if you wore them with sandals and some white linen pants or a long, flowy broomstick skirt.

Krishna Chandelier Earrings

When you feel like going out dancing with your friends, throw on these three-inch chandelier earrings. They're dramatic enough to match your out-on-the-town dramatic eyeshadow, but not so loud that they take away from your awesome dance moves. Plus, they jangle and catch the light as you bop to the music.

Lace Boxy Woven Top

I recently bought this light cotton top, and now it's one of my favorite things to wear. It feels cool and comfortable, perfect for summer weather, and the cap sleeves and lacy trim make it interesting. And the price sure is nice. I kind of want to buy a second.

Ladybug Watch Necklace

Here's yet another necklace watch. These things are everywhere, but I do think it's classier to tell time with your necklace than your cell phone--which is how I've been doing it these days. I like how this ladybug's wings open up to reveal the watch. Plus, the price is low enough that you won't feel horrible if this fad dies out next month.

Bobble Opener

These wobbly plastic bottle openers have personality, although they don't look super bright (maybe because it looks like they're missing some teeth). Also, how smart could you be if you open bottles with your teeth? Oh, well. They're still cute. They come in three different colors, but if you buy online, you can't specify what color you'd like.

Korres Lip Butter

Your lips will thank you for this stuff. It feels great on, more like a moisturizer than a lip gloss, and it smells delicious. I'd recommend the rosy shades--Quince, Pomegranate, and Wild Rose--over Guava, which is a kind of white. Guava still smells and feels amazing, but it sort of looks like you put lotion on your lips.

Glitter Bangle Bundle

If you're going to wear multicolor glitter bangles, I think it's important go for it and wear a gob of them. This set comes with 18. The better to add sparkle to your wrist. Or whole arm.

Minor Emergency Kits

I want both of these for my desk drawer. What I like most about this little sewing kit and first aid kit is that they kind of look alike (so don't get confused and sew a button on your boo-boo). They both have little scissors, but the first aid kit has bandages and swabs while the sewing kit has thread and needles.

Grassland Coasters

I could smell spring in the air yesterday (the spring scent must have been working hard to overpower the smell of New York City), and it made me long to see some green stuff on the trees again. Until then, you can add some spring to your coffee table with these clear glass coasters decorated with leafy decals.

Red Currant and Thyme Tea Olive Oil Fleur de Lis Soap

I haven't yet tried any of the soaps from 4th Ave. Soap Company, run by Sarah Massagee of Iowa City, but I'm really taken with all the pretty shapes and interesting scents. This red bar, for instance, is made of extra virgin olive oil, with notes of lemon-lime, berry, bergamot, thyme, lavender, cassis, and white musk. You can find a lot of other cool scents and pretty soap shapes in Sarah's Etsy shop.

Happy Mixing Spoons

These melamine mixing spoons are awesome. They almost beckon you to bake something yummy and lick the spoon. If all kitchen stuff were this cheery I might cook more often. Might. They come in three colors.

Happy Stinkentine’s Day Greeting Card

Whether you love Pepé Le Pew whether Valentine's Day just makes you a little grumpy, this card from Egg Press is pretty awesome. It's blank on the inside so you can add your own message for the little stinker in your life.

Hearts Gift Wrap

If you feel compelled to buy some lovey-dovey gift wrap for Valentine's Day, why not buy some that looks a lot like the leg warmers you had back in the day (or was that just me?). I heart 80s hearts. Punky Brewster would be proud.
