I cannot tell a lie: I have no need for a funnel, but I really want this Pinocchio funnel by Stefano Giovannoni and Miriam Mirri. I want it even though it's more than slightly disturbing that the liquid drains out of its nose. Maybe someday it will become a real boy.

Hey, it's Flower from Bambi! Or maybe it's Pepé Le Pew. Or some other lovable skunk. No matter who it is, the point is that ceramic skunks make pretty awesome lamps. If you're looking for a cool shade to go with it, I like this one and this one and this one.

Okay, the reason I think these canvas tote bags are so cool might have a little something to do with the fact that they have one representing my borough (Go, Queens!) and that the word Queens is wearing a little tiara. But the company also makes totes with maps of lots of major cities, including Portland, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Maybe this would scare the baggage handlers too much, but I really like this angry yeti luggage tag. I imagine someone taking my bag off the carousel by mistake and then being visibly startled by the sight of this little character. In my imagination, the yeti somehow also violently claws the offender.

This looks like something you could put in your lunch box, but it's actually flowers. Well, soil and some seeds anyway. You pop the top, add water and sunshine, and you'll get some dahlias, geraniums, impatiens, or pansies. Unless you're me, in which case you will get a green bud that droops and turns brown because you forget to water it.

At first, I thought the pattern on this clutch was fishing net or something naval. But now all I see is chain-link fence. Which is pretty great. It makes me think of climbing over the fence at my grandmother's house when I was a kid. For some reason, climbing fences is fun when you're young. That and making forts out of couch cushions.

I got some of this as a gift, and wasn't expecting to like it, but it has this pretty champagne sheen that's actually surprisingly subtle. However, I think it looks best on shorter nails. The longer your nails, the more it starts getting into K-mart cashier/Vegas stripper territory.

I've been on a honey kick lately, which is probably what drew me to these bee glasses. Apparently, this bee was Napoleon's symbol. At his coronation, he wore a robe embroidered with these gold bees. I wonder, if I drink orange juice out of this glass will it make me want to invade Spain?

This print from Angela Vandenbogaard, an art student in Ontario, Canada, is so cheerful. The print is on 8.5- by 11-inch cardstock. She has a lot of fun tree prints in her Etsy shop. I also really like the Mothers Daughter print.

New York is a rough town for umbrellas. After every storm the street corners and garbage bins are littered with mangled umbrellas that didn't make it. But I think this big retro umbrella has a shot of making it. Plus, because it's clear, you won't accidentally run into anyone as you walk against the crazy winds.
