Frasier Fir, a new scent from Thymes, is so fresh and inviting. Its scent is a combination of Siberian Fir needles, cedarwood, and sandalwood. It makes me think of freshly cut Christmas trees.
Okay, these are rad. They look like votive candles, but they're actually rechargeable lights. They add great mood lighting to a dinner party without any worries of accidentally burning the place down. After charging them in the included tray, they last about eight hours.
$69.00 for four, Vessel
This is an elegant addition to any boudoir or powder room. Light some candles, and the soft light dances on the mirrored surface. Unfortunately, the glass votives are sold separately.
$39.00, Brocade Home
Slow and steady might win some races, but not the race to the bathroom in the middle of the night. If it's an emergency, you'll be glad you have this glass jackrabbit nightlight by Happy Owl Glassworks, which also makes a lot of cool glass pendants and cufflinks, to guide your way.
$45.00, Happy Owl Glassworks
I really like the name of this lamp, even if it doesn't really suit the product. Still, I love the way these lamps look, how the shade matches the shape of the blocky stacked base. You can design your own Builtby lamp by going here. I wasted about an hour on this yesterday.
Thomas Paul, one of my favorite designers, has come out with some new lamps featuring his cool prints. I like this nifty table lamp with a black bamboo motif on the base and a bright pink geometric print on the shade. I also adore this one and this one.
Open the door of this cute latern, slide in a little candle, dim the lights, and it casts cool shadows around the room. The whole thing is about eight inches tall and also comes in white.
$12.00, Urban Outfitters
These are pretty wild. Artist Kelly Butler makes unique lamps out of wide variety of loud lingerie. They even come with the padded hanger. By day, they just look like lingerie, but by night, when paired with a 25-watt bulb, they cast a soft glow on your boudoir.
About $145 to $165, Tramp Lamps
If you really want to gussy up your desk or beside table, this is the lamp. The crystal spheres along the base are both opulent and modern. And the simple, elegant white parchment shade makes for a lovely counterpoint.
$299.00, Restoration Hardware
These lamps are just awesome. Designer Heather Wells makes them out of cocktail umbrellas. They come in a lot of different color combinations. Each one is about 13 inches tall and takes a 45-watt light bulb. Oh, and get this: the umbrellas glow in the dark.
