Blood Orange Olive Oil

After I read this article in the New York Times last year, I got on a kick of making my own salad dressings. I like using this oil, with a complex orange zest flavor, combined with cider vinegar, salt, garlic salt, pepper, and chopped fresh dill. So good.

Wilton Giant Cupcake Cake Pan

This is amazing. Use this cake pan and you'll be able to make a giant cupcake that's about eight inches in diameter. Of course, to get the full effect, you have to cover the entire thing in frosting. The best part? It's still only one serving (in my book, anyway)!

$27.95, Sur La Table

Jacques Torres Assorted Dark Chocolate Truffles

Every time I go into one of the Jacques Torres chocolate stores, I freeze at the counter. I have trouble deciding which truffles to pick. But it's not like a box of Russell Stover--you're not going to wind up with a disgusting orange cream or nougat. Every chocolate in the store is the best thing you've ever tasted.

$48.00 for a 50-piece box, Jacques Torres Chocolate

Okra Pickles

The big city seems to have everything imaginable, but there are still some things that are tough to find, like pickled okra. This stuff tastes so summery and delicious. I could probably down all six of these jars in no time flat.

$15.95 for six jars, Talk O' Texas

Pecan Pie in a Jar

Here's a great idea for us lazy gluttons. Just add some eggs and butter, pour it into a pie shell, heat it up, and you've got an amazing pecan pie. Or you can just be extra lazy and gluttonous and eat it right out of the jar.

$14.00, CS Post & Co.

Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine

Snoopy! I'm so excited that someone still makes this. This and the Easy-Bake Oven were what I fantasized about as a child. They had that tantalizing combination of a toy plus sugary treats. Sure, there are many automatic devices that can make snow cones with a lot less effort, but that's not really the point, is it?

$22.00, Fred Flare

Jeni’s Ice Creams

Some of the flavor combinations sound kind of weird (coriander and raspberry?), but I assure you this ice cream is worth sending away for (or possibly planning a trip to Columbus, Ohio). Gravel Road, which is creamy caramel ice cream with smoked almonds, is maybe the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. The lemon and blueberry combo also rocked my world.

$65.00 for six pints, Jeni's Ice Creams

Fancy Berries Gift Box

These strawberries are so big, they're almost intimidating. They're decorated in an assortment of toppings: white chocolate, dark chocolate, chocolate chips, almond pieces, and coconut shavings. You'll want to pig out with your special someone.

$55.00 for a dozen, Shari's Berries

The Lady & Sons Hoe Cake Mix

I've had daydreams about eating at The Lady & Sons again ever since I visited Savannah, Georgia. Besides the fried chicken and creamed spinach, my favorite dish was the fried cornbread  "hoe cakes." Turns out you can buy hoe cake mix from The Lady & Sons online. I'm excited to give it a try.

$6.99, The Lady & Sons

Lemonade Jar & Stand

I have been ogling this lemonade container since last summer. I go to about zero picnics each year and I don't have a deck or a porch, but I keep trying to convince myself that I could brew a lot of delicious sun tea in this thing. (And doesn't that lemonade look delectable?)

$69.95 for the jar and $16.95 for the stand, Sur La Table

Eleni’s Butterflies in Nature Cookies

Eleni's makes some of the best cookies in town, and I love these sugar cookies that are hand-iced to look almost like real butterflies. They come in a pretty tin too.

$65.00 for 14 cookies, Eleni's NYC

Meyer Lemon Tree

What a delicious way to decorate. Williams-Sonoma will ship you a little 18-inch Meyer lemon tree in a terra-cotta pot. I love sweet Meyer lemons, and I think lemon trees make attractive house plants. But you may eventually have to move it outside. Apparently, they can get four to five feet tall.

$69.00, Williams-Sonoma

Little Ladybug Jems

They look a bit like glass beads, but these are actually chocolate truffles. Super yummy raspberry chocolate truffles, to be precise. They're almost too cute to eat.

$28.00 for a box of 12, John & Kira's

Chocolate Tangerine Cookies

It may sound likely an unlikely combination, but I assure you these cookies from Dancing Deer are perfection. Something about the tangerine flavor keeps the chewy chocolate cookies from being too rich (and subsequently makes it difficult to resist downing a whole package).

$17.50 for a package of 18, Dancing Deer

Fairytale Dozen

It's hard to write about these brownies without drooling. Each morsel in this variety pack is moist and delicious, whether it's a peanut butter brownie, chocolate chip, caramel, or any of the other nine flavors. And the brownies are nice and big.

$32.00 for a dozen, Fairytale Brownies
