Deco Wall Flourishes

These cool shapes made out of painted wood composite really snaz up a boring wall. I want to try them in my living room, although that would require painting the whole thing a color other than white. Maybe I could just paint these little things instead.

$39.00 for a pair of the small ones and $59.00 for a pair of the larger ones, West Elm

Branch Curtain Tie-back

As a kid, tree branches moving outside my window was one of the most horrifying things imaginable. So using something like this branch-shaped brass curtain tie-back would have been out of the question. But now I think I can handle it (if there's a light on). Besides, it's way cooler than a bow.

$14.00 each or two for $24.00, Urban Outfitters

Ume Flower Triple Frame

I like these picture frames. They're actually made of mother of pearl shells from the Philippines that have been painted in a blue and brown floral pattern, so they have a bit of a sheen. The hanging frames are 7.5 inches wide and hold three photos.

Pink Poodle Bank

If you think pigs aren't prissy enough to handle your pocket change, check out this pink plastic poodle bank. It's seven inches tall and has a furry poof for a tail. It's so cute that you'll want to take it for a walk.

$13.00, Loft Party

Thomas Paul Goldfinch Pillow

While the birds on this silk twill throw pillow are technically goldfinches, not lovebirds, it looks pretty romantic to me. It makes me want to bake heart-shaped cupcakes. The pillow, designed by Thomas Paul, is 18 inches wide and filled with a mix of feathers and down.

Paris Rugs

Who says rugs can only be circular or rectangular? These black wool rugs, cut out into whimsical Parisian fleur shapes, give your floor a little more character. The small one is 28 inches across (more like a bathroom rug), and the larger one is 48 inches (better for your coffee table area).

$48.00 and $118.00, Chiasso

Seaweed Frame

When I think of seaweed, I think of that nasty soggy green mess that attaches to your leg in the ocean (or that tangy, if a bit rubbery, salad you get at Japanese restaurants). But this nine inch tall frame is so pretty. I like the way the black fronds curve around the border. The frame can hold a five by seven inch photo.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall Mirror

This mirror won't tell you you're the fairest of them all, but staring at yourself in it does put a garland of white roses over your head, which does kind of give you the aura of a Disney heroine.

$52.00, Urban Outfitters

Carved Metal Candelabra

Somehow it's been 17 years since Beauty and the Beast came out in movie theaters, and yet when I look at this, the song "Be Our Guest" starts playing in my brain. Despite all that, I really like this white carved candelabra. It would look elegant on a dining room table or really just about anywhere you want a mod Victorian look.

$69.00, Brocade Home

Carton Vase

Pop a few flowers in this porcelain vase shaped like a milk carton to snaz up a morning meal or breakfast in bed. The vase, created by British designer James Burgess, looks nice on the kitchen counter too. Just don't accidentally pour any of the liquid on your cereal.

$6.95, CB2

Wallter Butterfly Mobile

This is pretty cool looking. You attach a butterfly-shaped plate to the ceiling, and then these butterflies, in various sizes of painted steel, cascade down on strings. The butterflies come in four different color combinations. If butterflies are too girly for you, Wallter also makes several other shapes.

$70.00, 2modern

Candle Holder Flashlight

If the lights go out, this candlestick holder has all of your bases covered. It's also a nifty flashlight. (The LED bulb is underneath the base.) Plus, it's pretty handy if you need to take out Colonel Mustard in the Conservatory.

$40.00, Velocity Art and Design

Woodnetic Frames

These photo frames are pretty funky. They look like curvy wood, but they're magnetic. You stick your photos to them with the tiny strong magnets that come with it. It makes it pretty easy to swap out photos or make a little collage.

$15.95 to $28.50 each, FridgeDoor.com

Pixie Candleholder

These tea light candle holders are so cool looking. I like how the glass in the middle forms a kind of decorative candlestick. I think two of them would look great on a dining room table.

$9.95 each, Crate & Barrel

Anise by Ilan Dei Wall Decals

I want these cool anise decals for the walls in my bedroom. There's something relaxing about them. Maybe it's the colors. They come in gray, lilac, white, and black. You get 11 decals in different sizes, and can buy them in one color or a combination of two. I dig the gray and lilac combo.
