Green Bangles

I love the look of these funky green resin bangles. The chunky bracelets, which are a little more than an inch thick, come in two different shades of green. And not only are the bracelets green, but they're green--a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these bangles goes to environmental causes.

Lemondrops Necklace

The bright yellow beads on this choker necklace make me think of Lemonheads. Yummy. I like that there are a few white beads thrown in for visual interest. Even though they don't look as tasty.

Pink Gold Bangle

This thin bangle is pretty cool looking. I like its interesting texture. It's made of beaded sterling silver that's been covered in this soft pink 18-karat gold. I think a stack of three or four of these would look amazing with an evening gown.

MapTote Tote Bag

Okay, the reason I think these canvas tote bags are so cool might have a little something to do with the fact that they have one representing my borough (Go, Queens!) and that the word Queens is wearing a little tiara. But the company also makes totes with maps of lots of major cities, including Portland, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Paris Wings Necklace

The Eiffel Tower would make an awesome butterfly, as this cool necklace proves. On the reverse side of the one and a half inch pendant is another image of stags holding a crown. A little Eiffel Tower charm (sans butterfly wings, unfortunately) dangles from the 18-inch chain too.

Canvas Kisslock Pouch

At first, I thought the pattern on this clutch was fishing net or something naval. But now all I see is chain-link fence. Which is pretty great. It makes me think of climbing over the fence at my grandmother's house when I was a kid. For some reason, climbing fences is fun when you're young. That and making forts out of couch cushions.

Printed Canvas San Isidro Bag

Maybe it's just the February blues, but the sunny, happy yellow and white polka-dots on this canvas bag are calling out to me. Plus, the bag, which is about 13 inches wide, has these cool round resin handles. I'm imagining it on my arm as I walk on a warm beach somewhere.

Frida Kahlo Self Portrait Pendant Necklace

Yet another thing Etsy is good for: Finding cool Frida Kahlo jewelry. A recent search of the site came up with all kinds of cool pieces. My favorite was this necklace from Twist Style, made of a beautifully hand-knotted cord, Czech crystals, and a mother of pearl Frida Kahlo pendant. Twist Style, which is based in Richmond, Virginia, has a lot of other pretty pieces in its Etsy shop too.

Black Lip Mother of Pearl Teardrop Earrings

Okay, I admit I was a little disappointed to learn that Brooke Mosher, the jewelry designer behind Brooklyn Designs, actually lives in Canada (and not nearby in Brooklyn). But I still love her jewelry. I especially adore these black mother of pearl earrings. You can find loads of other beautiful things in her Etsy shop.

Citrine Gem Circle Necklace

This necklace from Michele Lynne Designs is simple, stunning, and pretty much goes with everything. It has a beautiful, sparkling round citrine gem that floats on a 16- or 18-inch chain. You can get it on a 14-karat gold chain for $88.00.

Murval Quilted Patent Tote

I'm obsessed with Murval's handbags. I especially like this new white patent quilted number. It even has a cool black and white flower brooch that gives it a '60s mod look. It's 15 inches wide, big enough to carry your make-up collection and magazines.

Poppy Earrings

Turns out that hanging a mini garden from your ears is actually kinda cute. These acrylic earrings, which are decorated with images of grass and red poppies, measure five-eighths of an inch in diameter.

Clear Bubble Umbrella

New York is a rough town for umbrellas. After every storm the street corners and garbage bins are littered with mangled umbrellas that didn't make it. But I think this big retro umbrella has a shot of making it. Plus, because it's clear, you won't accidentally run into anyone as you walk against the crazy winds.

Love Sprouts Converti Handbag

Between the adorable Hansel and Gretal fabric, the heart trim, and the sweet floral lining, this 9.5-inch purse is so cute I want to give it a hug. I like how the strap is removable so you can wear it as a clutch or a wristlet.

Birdie Necklace

These birdies in springy patterns make me happy. They really pop on solid blouses and sweaters. The bird pendants, which are made of varnished acrylic, are two inches wide and hang from an 18-inch chain.
