Does anyone else remember when jellies were, like, to-die-for? Man, I loved those plastic shoes. These are even cuter, I think. They're rubber ballet flats that come in four different colors: red, green, yellow, and black. They're great in the rain too (unless you live in New York, where the seemingly shallow street corner puddles can run a foot deep).

This thin bangle is pretty cool looking. I like its interesting texture. It's made of beaded sterling silver that's been covered in this soft pink 18-karat gold. I think a stack of three or four of these would look amazing with an evening gown.

Maybe this would scare the baggage handlers too much, but I really like this angry yeti luggage tag. I imagine someone taking my bag off the carousel by mistake and then being visibly startled by the sight of this little character. In my imagination, the yeti somehow also violently claws the offender.

These darling pink Kate Spade Mary Janes are so pricey that if I bought them I'd probably be afraid to wear them, but I can't stop looking at them. I love the iridescent patent leather (who knew leather could look like this?) and the bright candy color.

The Eiffel Tower would make an awesome butterfly, as this cool necklace proves. On the reverse side of the one and a half inch pendant is another image of stags holding a crown. A little Eiffel Tower charm (sans butterfly wings, unfortunately) dangles from the 18-inch chain too.

This set of four melamine plates is kind of psychedelic. Each plate has a different pattern, but they all have a turquoise, avocado, and brown floral theme. All of the plates seem very happy and festive. I think they'd be good for serving birthday cake. With flower frosting, of course.

At first, I thought the pattern on this clutch was fishing net or something naval. But now all I see is chain-link fence. Which is pretty great. It makes me think of climbing over the fence at my grandmother's house when I was a kid. For some reason, climbing fences is fun when you're young. That and making forts out of couch cushions.

It's possible that the only reason I like this sweater is because it reminds me of some of the fun stripey green outfits Jeffrey Sebelia made when he won Project Runway last year. Even so, it's still a pretty, feminine sweater. It also comes in yellow and blue.

Maybe it's just the February blues, but the sunny, happy yellow and white polka-dots on this canvas bag are calling out to me. Plus, the bag, which is about 13 inches wide, has these cool round resin handles. I'm imagining it on my arm as I walk on a warm beach somewhere.

I haven't yet tried any of the soaps from 4th Ave. Soap Company, run by Sarah Massagee of Iowa City, but I'm really taken with all the pretty shapes and interesting scents. This red bar, for instance, is made of extra virgin olive oil, with notes of lemon-lime, berry, bergamot, thyme, lavender, cassis, and white musk. You can find a lot of other cool scents and pretty soap shapes in Sarah's Etsy shop.
