Sephora Blockbuster Palette

Sure, some of these 64 eyeshadows, 32 lip shades, and eight blushes would be more suited for putting together a Halloween costume (check out all of the mermaid appropriate blues) than a day look. But it's nice to have options (and be able to spend a Saturday afternoon playing with makeup).

Mini Wise Old Owl

I like piggy banks, but turns out that owl (or is it owly?) banks are pretty cool too. This little ceramic bank comes in bright purple or blue and has a stopper at the bottom, so you take out your change without literally breaking the bank.

Hulger P*Phone and Base

Just because you have a Nokia and use Skype doesn't mean you can't have a princess phone. This phone, which comes four colors, plugs into your USB port, so you can use it for your VoIP calling. You can also plug the receiver right into your cell phone, if you want to be all fancy like that.

Kiersten Boots

I just bought a pair of these boots, and they're great. The faux leather doesn't feel that high-end, but they are very comfortable and cute, even with the two and a half inch heel. They come in two calf sizes.

Night Falls Dress

What a perfect little black dress. I love how the whole thing is covered in dotted lace. And there are pretty details, like the flutter sleeves and criss-cross of lace tiers on the lower half of the dress.

Mirror Votive Holder

This is an elegant addition to any boudoir or powder room. Light some candles, and the soft light dances on the mirrored surface. Unfortunately, the glass votives are sold separately.

Cinnamon Sugar Lip Scrub

This stuff is great for people who get dry lips in the winter. Just rub some of this on your lips, wipe it off, and you can apply your lipstick to a smooth surface. The only downside is that it smells delicious, like cinnamon toast. Instead of spreading it on my lips, I just want to spread it on toast and devour it.

Butter Toffee & Walnut Crunch 2-Gallon Gift Tin

I was cheerfully snacking away on a handful of this amazingly delicious Butter Toffee & Walnut Crunch, when someone pointed out to me that Dale & Thomas is co-owned by Isiah Thomas, coach of the New York Knicks who was recently found guilty of sexual harassment. Why must he make such tantilizingly good popcorn? If you feel bad about buying from him, you can get a free bag here.

$35.00, Dale & Thomas

Stilla Plywood Tray Yellow

I love the bright and cheerful yellow leaf pattern on this cool tray. It's great for playing hostess and serving up a tray of homemade snacks. Or, better yet, a tray of store-bought food you steathily removed from the container. The tray is 17 inches wide.

Things to Make and Do Calendar

If you want to get a jump on next year, this is a pretty cool 2008 wall calendar by Nikki McClure. She creates the images using paper and x-acto knife. It's amazing to me how she is able to give all of the different scenes so much life and character.

I’m Nothing Without My Hoffee Tee

I don't usually go for joke T-shirts, but this one is too awesome to resist. David Hasselhoff is a great punchline for any joke. One of my girlfriends used to send me hilarious e-mails under the name "David Hasselhoff" asking if I had found any red swimtrunks in my apartment "from the other night." Classic.

Nintendo Mints

Did you ever dream of becoming a Nintendo Game Counselor? What, it would have been fun to sit around playing Zelda all day--for money! Even if your thumb reflexes aren't what they used to be, you can still freshen up your breath with these mints (while humming the Super Mario Bros. theme song, of course).

Black Houndstooth Gift Wrap

I love this houndstooth gift wrap! Got a present for a fashionista? Wrap it in this. If anything, it's a lot cheaper than wrapping your gift in a Carolina Herrera dress. (If the gift's for me, though, just go ahead and wrap it in the dress, k?)

J. Reneé Fantasy Patent Pump

The name of these shoes doesn't make sense to me (unless it's the fantasy of wearing three and a half inch heels all day without your feet hurting). Still, this open-toe black patent leather pump is hot, with its red trim and red heels. They remind me of that sassy Christian Louboutin look, only about $800 cheaper.

Gloria Pillow

I like the loud pop-art rose pattern on this 18-inch cotton throw pillow. The back of the pillow is a little different, showing parts of four flowers from the pattern. The outside is removable and washable.
