What a delicious way to decorate. Williams-Sonoma will ship you a little 18-inch Meyer lemon tree in a terra-cotta pot. I love sweet Meyer lemons, and I think lemon trees make attractive house plants. But you may eventually have to move it outside. Apparently, they can get four to five feet tall.

We have a Meyer lemon tree in back of our house. It’s taller than I am and the lemons are HUGE. And it has a great name, too.

That’s awesome! I didn’t realize lemons would do well in Kansas. Think the Meyer lemons were named after your relatives?

It’s in back of our house here in Culver City, actually. And, yeah, maybe my relatives were sour people.

How fortuitous!

assuming I don’t kill it first, how long before i get lemons from this tree?

Good question! I’d check with Williams-Sonoma to be sure, but I did a little searching around and sounds like you need to keep it alive for probably about six months before you have ripe lemons.
